Spring Break

Only got a chance to shoot 300 or so shots over spring break, a lot of HDR stuff so that 300 can be considerably boiled down because of the immense bracketing involved in high dynamic range photography. Here's some of what I got a chance to shoot.

HDR

Forgotten Spaces

Non-Series Photographs

I must admit I am more drawn to these less dramatic images than the enhanced images. But don't let that discourage you. I think the other way of working is perfectly valid. This opinion could be as much an indicator of my age - having begun my photo education when I did - as anything else.

I'm still going to shoot just as much traditional images as I will High Dynamic Range ones. It takes time to perfect HDR, I'm no where near being where I want to be making those images. Every morning I wake up and I think of something I'm doing wrong, or something else I could be doing. The science of HDR is relitivly new and I think that it is a valid form of photography. I think if I keep practicing I will start producing images that don't look as fake and non believeable. They will start to look like perfect exposures. Even though they are more perfect that you can ever really expose an image. thanks for all your feedback here Jonathan.

Oh and I havn't expressed my feeling about you going to Boise yet. I'm happy for you, you'll probably feel more at home out there, you seem to love nature, as do I, and out west you ought to be able to get out hiking and biking and bird watching much more than you can here. Being selfish though... Don't go damnit. I need you and Naomi here with me.
